The films being screened over 10 days are also complemented by panel discussions that are part of our initiative, Infrastructure Building for Minds and Markets (IBM2). IBM2 brings a unique array of seminars and debates to discuss issues, analyze trends and explore the future of creative and business aspects of cinema. This year, these discussions and debates will focus on the models and processes of ‘Institution Building’ with special focus on The Osianama, the unique cultural complex being built by Osian’s, on the one hand and Writing and Cinema on the other.

The application for Talent Campus India #5, 2008 is now closed.

Along with the application for, applicants are required to submit either
A one minute film.
This can also be a one minute excerpt of a longer film. Any entry that is longer than 60 seconds will NOT be considered.
OR
A five minute film.
This should be directed by the applicant especially for Talent Campus India specifically on the subject of EVERYDAY JOURNEYS. The film should be NO LONGER than five minutes. The best two of the selected five minute films will be awarded a Certificate of Appreciation.
OR

word film script. Make sure that it is a film script! The language of the script needs to be English. It can be a translation of a script written in any other language and the original can also be sent along with the English version. The script needs to be a typed printout and not handwritten.
You can send us the one minute or five minute films on a VHS, VCD or a DVD formats only.
We will not accept
multi-media video formats like AVI, windows media format (WMF), mpeg, quick time, real video or shockwave (flash) format.
All selected participants with five minute films will agree that her / his five minute film on the subject of EVERYDAY JOURNEYS may be used by Osian’s-Connoissuers of Art in full length or as an excerpt in television or any other multimedia format for promotional purposes of their events.
Send your application and film via registered post or courier only to avoid misplacement and delays. DO NOT send us your forms by email or fax – they must accompany your mini-film and will not be accepted otherwise.
The deadline for the receipt of application forms and films is
20 May, 2008.
Applications received after this date will NOT be considered.
Talents will be selected by an independent Selection Committee and informed via post/email by 2 June, 2008. Those who do not hear from us by the second week of June must assume that they have not been selected. You could also call or email us to confirm the results.
The selected Talents who will be attending the Campus must confirm their participation by email within a week of the results. They will then have to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs.2000 ($50) by Demand Draft payable in New Delhi to
Society for Art, Culture and Education.
The DD should reach us no later than
25th June, 2008.
Osian’s-Cinefan will reimburse an amount equivalent to the cost of an AC 3-Tier return train ticket for all outstation Talents. Those who are attending from neighbouring countries will be reimbursed a maximum amount of Rs.6000 ($152) or the actuals, whichever is less towards their travel expenses. Talents have to inform us of their travel details as soon as possible and save their tickets in order to claim their reimbursements.
Osian’s-Cinefan will provide information about various accommodation options in the city and thereafter the participants will have to make their arrangements themselves.
