Newly-married Nurlela is forced to live with her husband, Hasan, at her parents’ house. Hasan, who is not as successful as their other sons-in-law, is taunted by his in-laws. The couple tries to be independent and Hasan even seeks to acquire his own house. They lie, argue and fight with each other which lead Nurlela into depression. She even attempts to commit suicide. Will they be able to overcome their hurdles and start a new life all over again ….
