Closing Ceremony

The Closing Ceremony signals an end and brings the curtain down on the 12th Osian’s-Cinefan Film Festival. After the Awards ceremony the Closing film will be presented. This year we have the pleasure of showcasing Chitrangada – The Crowning by Rituparno Ghosh, who will be present.

Awards
Each year Osian’s-Cinefan invites eminent film personalities and professionals to serve on Juries that
choose the award-winning films in the various categories.

The Asian-Arab Competition is judged by a 5-member international jury that decides the following awards

• The Osian’s-Cinefan Award for Best Film
• The Osian’s-Cinefan Award for Best Director
• The Osian’s-Cinefan Special Jury Award
• The Osian’s-Cinefan Award for Best Actress
• The Osian’s-Cinefan Award for Best Actor

The Indian Competition section is judged by a 5-member international jury that decides the following
awards .

• The Osian’s-Cinefan Award for Best Film
• The Osian’s-Cinefan Award for Best Director
• The Osian’s-Cinefan Special Jury Award
• The Osian’s-Cinefan Award for Best Actress
• The Osian’s-Cinefan Award for Best Actor

The First Features Competition comprises a 3-member international jury that awards the Best First
Feature of the competition.

The Short Film Competition comprises a 3-member international jury that awards the Best Short Film
of the competition.

All films in the Competitive sections will be eligible for an ‘Audience Award’. This award will be given to a
competition entry that receives the highest number of votes from the audience and consists of Trophy and Certificate.

The FIPRESCI (International Federation of Film Critics) Award is decided by an international jury of film critics nominated by FIPRESCI.
