Osian’s-Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Several new sections have been introduced including a section for short films called Short Cuts. The section has 43 short fiction films from India, Pakistan, Germany, Egypt, Korea and other Asian and Arab countries. Speaking at a press meet, most of the short fiction filmmakers said they were hopeful about the future of short films in India, but were still oncerned about their commercial viability and outlet as far as their reach to the masses was concerned. Being held at the Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi.
