Jeffrey Jeturian
One of the leading figures in the current resurgence of Philippine cinema, Jeffrey Jeturian was born in 1959 in Manila. He did a Communication Arts degree from the University of the Philippines and worked as a production assistant before embarking on a career as a script supervisor, production designer, assistant director and, finally, film director. His film Bridal Shower was shown at Osian’s-Cinefan in 2004, followed by The Bet Collector in 2006 which won the Best Film, Best Actress and FIPRESCI awards. This, as well as some of his other works, were widely screened internationally.
  
ED LEJANO
Filmmaker, critic, executive committee member of the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival from 2005-06, Ed Lejano has served as Deputy Director for its annual Independent Filmmaking Congress. He did an M.A. in Broadcast Communication from the University of the Philippines and obtained a Certificate in Film from New York University. He is currently Programme Director for Film at the International Academy of Film & Television, Cebu, and has been teaching at the University of the Philippines Film Institute since 1998. He has been a jury member at international film festivals.
  
Jerrold Tarog
Jerrold Viacruis Tarog is a filmmaker and composer. He has composed scores for critically-acclaimed Filipino independent films The Bet Collector, Kaleldo and Foster Child. Tarog believes music and cinema are parallel art forms and has devoted equal amounts of time and passion to both fields.
  
Ruel Dahis Antipuesto
Ruel Dahis Antipuesto is a self-taught photographer and filmmaker. Since 2002 he has been making music videos, documentaries, animation, short features and commercials. Antipuesto also runs a visual communications company in Cebu City.
  
Clodualdo del Mundo
Clodualdo del Mundo, Jr. headed the Communication Arts Dept of de la Salle University, is a founding member and former Chair of Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino and Vice President of the Screenwriters Guild of the Philippines. He has made short films, videos and television programmes and has been the Regional Coordinator for the Asian Cinema Journal since 1995. He currently holds the Gocolay Distinguished Professorial Chair in Communication Arts. His film Pepot Superstar was shown at Osian’s-Cinefan in 2006.
  
Ronaldo Marcelo Bertubin
At a very young age, Ronnie Bertubin started wowing the public with his innate talent. Fresh from high school, his 10mm 45-minute short Hades received recognition from the Experimental Cinema of the Philippines Short Film Festival. This paved the way for major projects in television, film and theatre. A well-known Assistant Director in advertising, Bertubin’s venture in digital filmmaking met with success when his 15-minute Lansa gained recognition internationally.
  
NICK DEOCAMPO
Historian, author and film critic, Nick Deocampo is the Director of the Mowelfund Film Institute in the Philippines. And an eminent fiction and documentary filmmaker. He is the convener of the Conference ‘Origins of Cinema in Asia’. The book he has edited on the same subject is to be published shortly.
